College of Technology (COT) students once again engage themselves in Cebu’s massive business sector for on-the-job training.
This year’s OJT program included more than 400 establishments in different industries such as food, hospitality, manufacturing, advertisement, travel, and information technology.
Some of these are Lear Corp., Waterfront Hotel and Casino, Shangri-la Mactan Resort and Spa, Mandarin Plaza Hotel, Cebu Mitsumi Inc., TMX Phils., Lexmark Research and Development Corp., San Miguel Corp., Tsuneishi Heavy Industries, Convergys, Ng Khai Development Corp., and Innodata Knowledge Services Inc.
COT offers diverse programs that allow Bachelor of Arts in Industrial Technology (BSIT) students to specialize in automotive, garments, cosmetology, refrigeration and air conditioning, machine shop, civil technology, furniture and cabinet making, power plant technology, welding and fabrication, electronics, electrical, drafting, food preparation, and computer technology.
Other degree programs in the college are Bachelor of Arts in Mechatronics (BSMX), Bachelor of Science in Information Communication Technology (BSICT), Bachelor of Science in Travel Management (BSTrM), and Bachelor of Arts in Graphics and Design (BSGD). (UPO)
