LET 2016: CTU Argao ranks 4th among top performing schools

The September 2016 Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET) had  Cebu Technological University (CTU) Argao  at number 4 on the list of the country’s  top performing schools as per PRCBoard.com.

Among Cebu universities, only  CTU Argao  made it to the top (just one rank behind Philippine Normal University.)

Earlier this year, Argao Campus attained  performance ratings of 68% and 61.54% in the same examination for   Bachelor of Secondary Education (BSEd) and  Bachelor of Elementary Education (BEEd).

Apart from the intensive review conducted, the Teacher Education Department  engaged their students in extension initiatives such that   127 student teachers  completed the Pagkat-on sa Pagbasa-Phase 2 Trainers’ Training.

Throughout the year, other seminars that boost students’ expertise  include: Professionalism in Conducting Extension Activities, Teaching Reading, Principles of Visual Art, Instructional Materials Making and Teaching Demonstration,and Interpretation of Assessment Results.

CTU-Argao Campus  Director  Dr. Juanita Pinote  continues to strengthen policies on academic excellence as one of the university’s  mandates. (UPO)
