Dr. Ancheta’s application and registration in the ASEAN Engineer Register (AER) has been endorsed by the AER Commission.
It was approved by the Governing Council of the ASEAN Federation of Engineering Organizations (AFEO) upon the representation of the Philippine Technological Council (PTC).
He was officially issued the lifetime registration number, the registration certificate and the medallion after complying with all the administrative documents.
The conferment was done during the 34th Conference of ASEAN Federation of Engineering Organizations (CAFEO 34) on November 21 through 24 at the City State Asturias Hotel in Puerto Princesa City, Palawan.
The AER primarily spearheads the mobility of engineers from ASEAN member countries.
It also aims to liberalize the professional services within ASEAN to prepare for globalization under the World Trade Organization (WTO) initiative and to promote cultural and professional linkages among member countries in the engineering profession.
Furthermore, AER is working toward international recognition of Filipino engineers and their qualifications at both entry and independent professional practice levels. (Office of the Univ. President)
