Region 7 reached semi-finals in the standard and latin disciplines of SCUAA 2017 dance sport competition.

Kathlene Joy A. Diluvio,18, and  Darryl Palalon, 20, took the dance floor from quarters to semis in the latin discipline.

As for standard, Tesalonika Bactol, 19, and Jamali Malvin,18, survived elimination but were unable to reach the finals.

Cha cha cha, rumba, and jive made dancers project several interpretations for latin while waltz, tango and quickstep had them move with elegance in standard discipline.

Bactol donned herself in peach gown while Diluvio had the usual pink and black garb to match with the white top of Palalon.

Only Palalon came from CNU. Diluvio is a BSDevCom student while Bactol and Malvin are in BSHM and BEED-Sped programs at Cebu Technological University.

CTU dance sport contenders have been trained in one of Cebu’s prestigious centers.

Only 5 pairs among the 24 were selected to showcase the best routines. NCR, Region 6 and Region 4 were some of the representations for the last round. (UPO)
