Kirstin Baguio finally finds her comfort zone after securing first place in Pencak Silat.

Pencak Silat  (Women Division) contender Kirstine Hope C. Baguio of CTU Main snatched gold medal on the first day of SCUAA National Games 2017.

Being at the nationals for the first time made her overwhelmed especially that a championship title for seni artistic category went with it.

Region 7 had eleven representatives who, except Baguio,  perform tanding sparring.

In an interview she admitted to have doubted her skills given her being a  first-time national athlete. She also spoke of being nervous as  she  was the first to perform  this morning.

Since it turned out great, she thanked  Coach Queenie Jayme Sacil for the opportunity as well as her trainers who constantly   put her abilities to test.

Baguio was a rhythmic gymnast from elementary to  high school.  The passion remained in her, so she has been training on weekdays at Abellana National High School.

Hoops, ribbons, balls and ropes  are some of her best buddies in life. (UPO)
