Cebu Technological University (CTU) remains outstanding in the IP Statistics–Utility Model in the field of Home Technology. Among other state universities and colleges (SUCs) nationwide, CTU ranked first in 2016 and 2015 based on the Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines (IPOPHL).
In 2016, 79 utility models from the Main Campus and other CTU campuses were recorded—much higher than that of Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University (DMMMSU).

CTU’s relevant contribution to the country’s growing innovative scheme reflects its ability to respond to the world’s increasing demands.
Staying bebind DMMMSU and ASC in 2014, CTU had only 10 utility models which have multiplied almost eight times within three years.
