Employers ready to fill 6000 vacancies

Over 6000 vacancies in retail industries, hotels and restaurants, malls, factories, and BPOs drew hundreds of job seekers gathered at the 11th Job Fair on Friday, April 7.

Guided by the mantra: Decent jobs for a Better Tomorrow, around 50 local and overseas employers from the private and government sectors participated in the event.

Hired on the spot totaled 29; for trade testing, 175; for medical exam, 52; and for final interview, 696.

Formerly Cebu Technological University-Public Employment Service Office (CTU-PESO), the university enrolment-employment arm is now CTU-Job Placement Office (JPO) with certificate no. ROVII-TCFO-JPO-2017-001 following DOLE’s commendation on the office’s support to students and job seekers throughout the region.

The job fair was cosponsored by the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), Philippine Overseas Employment Agency (POEA), ABS-CBN, DYAB 1512 and Sykes Enterprise, Inc.

DOLE RO7 Information Officer Luchel Taniza and Assistant Regional Director Cyril L. Ticao came to the venue to support the activity.
