CTU Dumanjug sees development at new site

A ground-breaking ceremony at the donated 2-hectare site signified  the development at Cebu Technological University Dumanjug Extension.

Pursuant to Resolution No. 2017-115, the Municipality of Dumanjug, the absolute owner of land in Brgy. Liong, represented by acting mayor Hon. Rainero Asentista, signed the deed of donation for the establishment of CTU Dumanjug Campus as indicated.

Campus Director Romeo Lepiten’s request last year was acted upon on August 11, 2017 during the Regular Session of the Sangguniang Bayan of Dumanjug to provide more space for an expanding student population.

An extension of CTU Barili, Dumanjug Campus opened in 2009 with 70 enrolees. But presently it has almost a thousand students in various degree programs, one of the many reasons why the donation has become a strategic startup for an institution serving the southern community.

Proposed CTU Dumanjug Academic Building

A total of 20,000 square meters from 52, 967 total land area was transferred to CTU for said purpose.

The agreement also cited that the gym, oval  and olympic-size swimming pool shall be preserved or improved by CTU, making Dumanjug Campus first to have a swimming facility among CTU campuses.
