Former University of the Southeastern Philippines President Perfecto A. Alibin joined the third quarter conference of the Cebu Technological University Board of Regents on Friday, October 6, being one of the newly appointed commissioners of the Commission on Higher Education (CHED), a five-member body.
Appointed alongside a UP professor, Dr. Alibin is a veteran educational management and public administration academic.
His prolific career at USeP made him dean of the College of Education, College of Technician Education and Technology, College of Engineering and Technology, and Director of Mindanao Center for Technical Education and Staff Development—all these paving the way for his vice presidency for academic affairs before becoming USeP president.
CTU President Rosein A. Ancheta Jr. is hopeful that with the new leadership, the university could gain a better stance in promoting its thrusts toward global competitiveness.
Dr. Alibin expressed his gratitude to the members of the board who received him with warmth.The CTU choristers seemed to add delight to the ceremony that sought to give the commissioner a great impression before proceeding to the business proper. KML
