Northerners’ newest option: CTU Tabuelan to open this year

CTU Tabuelan opens this year with the approval of 4th District Rep. Benhur L. Salimbangon (L), CTU President Rosein A. Ancheta Jr., (C), and Tabuelan Mayor Rex Casiano T. Gerona.

Creation of extension campuses in Cebu province is one of Dr. Rosein A. Ancheta’s response to equal access to education as mandated by the constitution.

Arguably no other university in the region has ever been expansive as CTU with its latest accomplishment in establishing  another extension campus in the northern part of Cebu Province to operate starting school year 2018-2019, making advanced professional and technological-based education available to those who can’t afford to travel to the city.

On January 13, a memorandum of agreement was signed by 4th District Rep. Benhur Salimbangon, CTU President Rosein A. Ancheta Jr. and Tabuelan Mayor Rex Casiano Gerona.

Tabuelan extension campus will soon rise at a 1-hectare spot donated by Mayor Gerona and his brother, Vice Mayor Raul Gerona. Hon.  Salimbangon’s initial  10-million allocation for building construction is another huge lift to really materialize the learning institution.

Dr. Ancheta, in his short speech at the MOA signing,  expressed his gratitude to those who contributed toward making the plan [Tabuelan extension campus] possible thus giving convenience to the future clients.

“Malipay gyud ang mga ginikanan kay maka-save na sila sa allowance sa ilang mga anak. Dili na sad sila kinahanglan mangabang kay the campus is just near their houses.”

With the newest addition, CTU has 12 extensions apart from the main  and 8 [satellite] campuses that cater to over 40, 000 students. KML
