College of Arts and Sciences Professor Cynthia Anne Sy-Arbilon received Best Oral Presentation Award for her proposal, “Premarital Sex of the Millennials,” in October during the 2017 Theory Development in Educational Studies Paper Presentation.
“Premarital Sex is somewhat like a sensitive [thing] to the young people. I know that they can easily relate to the study. I also want to understand the reason why it happens,” she said in an interview.
The program was part of the activity of the graduate students [doctorate] in their first semester culmination, which exposed them to making research proposals.
Prof. Arbilon also expressed her felicitation to the people who took part of her success. ” First time in history nga nakareceive ku ug ingun ani nga award. Happy kaayu ku. Maka-proud sa kaugalingun ug sa school especially kay nagdala ko sa pangan sa ato nga school,” she added.
Moreover, Prof. Arbilon enrolled her doctorate degree with specialization in Science Education at Cebu Normal University under the scholarship program of the Commission on Higher Education.KML
