Access to scholarly articles may no longer be a problem for the CTU pool of researchers after the National Research Council of the Philippines confirmed in a statement [addressed to the president] the provision of a year of remote access and free subscription to the Elsevier Science Direct and Scopus Databases.
Free admission to Elsevier was first offered to NRCP by the Department of Science and Technology through the Philippine Council for Industry, Energy, and Emerging Technology Research and Development. Eventually, the agency wanted to share it to their partner institutions so that researchers can easily retrieve relevant and valuable data.
The privilege helps increase the university’s productivity through quality publications and attract more faculty members to get into the habit of knowledge generation.
