MUSIKAALAMAN brings more to the table for Cebuanos

CTU Choristers never missed the training recently hosted by the University of the Visayas— “MUSIKAALAMAN 2018.”

The  program had singers and conductors learn the craft more  from  April 31 through May 1. MUSIKAALAMAN aimed at  promoting choral singing, harnessing the music skills of participants, reviving and promoting Cebuano-Visayan music and  fostering understanding, unity and camaraderie.

World-renowned speakers and clinicians graced the event—Mr. Paul Phoenix of the King’s Singers, Mr. Mark Anthony Carpio of the Philippine Madrigal Singers, Ms. Darlene Yap of the Cebu Normal University, Mr. Onyl Torres of the Philippine Choral Directors Association, Mrs. Anna Tabita Abeleda-Piquero of the University of the Visayas, and Koro Ilustrado.

The event culminated with a concert at the St. Therese of the Child Jesus Parish. The CTU group was one of the 6 featured in the concert. ICPA
