The Ichikawa Technical High School (ITHS) from Chiba Prefecture had its students participate in activities to get to know more the Filipinos and the cultural differences following the MOU signing on July 26.
Aural-oral communication as targeted in the 5-day visit allowed Japanese students to perform role plays, reporting and other collaborative techniques in pushing for quality transaction of meaning among new Asian friends.
Promoting one of the traditions, the CTU dance company showcased the country’s popular “tinikling” dance. Ichikawa guests made an effort to dance to the Muslim beat that has long provided a distinct label to the Philippine culture.
