Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) representative Charles Vincent Barete announced the official membership of CTU Tuburan Fablab in the International Fablab Network (www.fablabs.io) , as it first opened to the public on August 16 with a workshop—“Make + Learn” that extended on the 18th.
Participants from Don Bosco Technological Center in Balamban, Sta. Lucia National High School (DepEd), LGU (Tuburan), local micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in the furniture and design industries, and CTU Tuburan faculty and students listened to experts from BISU and UP Cebu.
They were subjected to data making using popular 2D and 3D application software. As a bonus, ‘Juantronics’ experts Karl Mark Acha and Jesus Bacalso had Arduino Training for selected faculty and students of said campus on August 17.
DTI gave 8 brand-new Arduino, Raspberry Pi and Internet-of-Things Kits to CTU Tuburan Fablab which is 3rd in the region and 9th in the country.
