Songho College (SC) representative Lee Yong Woo and KOPEC President Hoo Young Choi confirmed the arrival of 20 to 30 Korean students to CTU Danao this July for English enhancement following Choi’s dialog with CTU President Rosein Ancheta Jr.
Part of the discussion was encouraging the campus’ faculty and staff to visit SC first before the summer program takes place for cultural enrichment and benchmarking, necessitating Woo to hand carry the letter from campus director Rose Mary Almacen to SC President Chang Duk Jung.
Dr. Almacen looks forward to receiving SC president’s approval any time this week as Woo promised yesterday.
With Taiwan’s NKUST students learning English in Danao campus last year, Dr. Almacen expressed desire to even more prepare for the Koreans who also aim for English proficiency.
Her anticipation of a better learning experience for them is alluded to the rehabilitated rubberized track, newly constructed gym and two 3-storey buildings for instruction.
Choi spoke to UICPA of his admiration for the location being in the countryside to which Woo agreed, especially when both of them initially visit the campus last week.
The former has led the Korea-Philippines Culture and Education Center (KOPEC) for years now and is banking on the prospect of forging strong ties with Danao campus.
