San Francisco, one of the municipalities in Camotes Islands, may be one of those favorite scuba diving destinations in Cebu, but the help coming from locals who should have attained certifications appears scant, as implied in the proposal submitted to Cebu Technological University San Francisco by the the Korean-owned Go Diving Tour.
Scuba diving is one of those underwater activities that provides people extraordinary scenes of the marine life. With more resorts in the country undergoing rehabilitation, it is not surprising why divers frequent the island paradise.
Campus Director Serapion Tanduyan told UICP of how scuba diving industry could be improved once details of the project are finalized.
Initially, the proposal indicated that the course be taken in two semesters at USD 600-800 per student, with a promotional offer of USD 100 for five certification cards.
The program guarantees provision of certifications in open water diver, advanced open water diver, rescue diver, CPR/FA/AED/oxygen provider, dive guide and more. UICP
