CTU, in common with universities worldwide, has recently made mark as MikroTik Academy, following completion of MikroTik Academy Bootcamp by three of its professors in the College of Technology, who would soon be training others once any of them succeeds the exam for MikroTik Certified Network Associate (MTCNA) trainer.
Director for Innovation, Automation and Computing Johaness Camasura, Noreen Fuentes, and Gerry Ritz Densing each received three international certifications: MikroTik Certified Network Associate (MTCNA), MikroTik Certified User Management Engineer (MTCUME), and MikroTik Certified Routing Engineer (MTCRE).
The university will be given an RB941 networking laboratory once MOA with CTU and MikroTik [a company based in Latvia] is materialized.
Integration of knowledge from said training in BIT and BSIT programs of the university is one of the major discussions in the upcoming curriculum revision as per Prof. Camasura’s statement.
MOA entered into by The Philippine Society of Information Technology Educators (PSITE) Region 7 and MikroTik Academy enabled CTU and other selected universities to participate in the sessions from August 14 through 20 at Cebu Institute of Technology-University (CIT-U).
MikroTik Academy Program is for educational institutions with internet networking courses using MkroTik RouterOS. UICP
