It’s ‘a day as usual’ for CTU taking regional eng’g quiz championship yet again

What might have been considered for some contenders as wire-to-wire game was just an ordinary occurrence for Angelo Sigue of CTU Main, who closed strong the civil engineering quiz among 23 opponents from 8 schools in region 7 on September 14.

Doing what any CTU quizzer would, Sigue fulfilled what many expected, as  coach Engr. Jeonel Lumbab has never been empty-handed going to the nationals year in and  year out.

Other winners came from CTU Danao: Francis Noel Carvajal (2nd), Kendall Jaye Capuno (3rd), and Jhared Almerez (4th), coached by Engr. Donnovan Arrabis, who had been a quizzer himself back in the main campus.

Highly anticipated is another championship for CTU as Sigue goes to the nationals in Baguio this December, probably repeating what  Brenan Labaya did last year.

Carvajal, who came next to Sigue, is looking forward to representing the region as well.

Winners received cash prizes as 5000, 3000 and 2000 respectively.

The civil engineering competitions have been organized by the Philippine Institute of Civil Engineers (PICE). UICP
