CAS Dean Lynette Matea Camello and Univ. Dir. for Extension Services Jorelyn Concepcion (3rd and 4th from left, seated) appeal to CAS faculty for more community initiatives embedded with SDGs.

CTU Main College of Arts and Sciences (CAS) held a seminar-workshop on research-based community extension projects oriented to the sustainable development goals (SDGs) on January 7, 2020.

“The entry point of ESD is extension,”said CAS Dean Lynette Matea Camello who highlighted the integration of SDGs in the community extension projects.

The United Nations (UN) has 17 SDGs all hoped to be achieved by 2030. They concern pressing issues in the world today such as inequality, poverty, climate change and more.

University Extension Services Director Jorelyn Concepcion also had inputs on community organizing, monitoring and evaluation prior to proposal making.
