Expected House bill to lobby CTU extension in Consolacion

Foresee  expansion of ‘CTU network,’ as endorsement letter dated January 30 from Consolacion, citing the integration of Consolacion Community College (CCC) and Cebu Technological University (CTU), is now working its way to the House of Congress, and no  sooner, as everyone knows how  resolutions like this end up, everyone will find another CTU extension campus sitting in one of Cebu’s new first class municipalities in the north.

As per Resolution No. 446, Series of 2019,  the job befell 6th District Representative Emmarie “Lolypop” Ouano-Dizon to sponsor such a bill, thereby putting high regard on free access to quality education for the locals to experience, as CTU abides by the free education policy.

Bachelor’s degree in Elementary and Secondary Education, Business Administration, Hotel and Restaurant Management, Information Technology, Political Science, Associate in Computer Technology, Associate in Hotel and Restaurant Management, and Diploma in Professional Education have been primarily provided by CCC since 2008.

Once finality is reached on said merging, some relevant degree programs offered by CTU will eventually diversify the choices of future applicants.

The recent endorsement could potentially provide   socio-economic developments among less fortunate residents, who aspire to certain heights of professionalism without having to mind the cost.

The Sanggunian ng Bayan members expressed their willingness to support the LGU in its recent bid for societal change.

CTU officials also immediately took their felicitations to facebook group chat “CTU Management Council,” where CTU President Rosein Ancheta Jr. posted the aforesaid endorsement letter.

By the time the  House bill is materialized, it will have followed that which was sponsored by Congressman Duke Frasco in September 2019—House Bill 4740—proposing establishment of CTU satellite campus in Liloan, just next to Consolacion./Ale Taneo/UICP
