Amid the global health scare, CTU Argao did its fair share in looking after the welfare of health workers over coronavirus fears.
Graduate School Dean Ariel Ramos led the distribution of 14 face shields at the behest of Mendero Medical Center (MMC) through Dr. Ramos’ wife, one of the private hospital’s resident doctors.
The light material presented ease in coming up with the design that created ample space between the face and the acetate, thus inhibiting ‘fog’ effect as observed by health workers in MMC’s previously improvised face shield.
Though quite far from the 200 pieces CTU Tuburan planned to finish by the end of the week, Argao campus’ initial number could very well increase as the latter decided to include other areas in Cebu.
Dr. Ramos confirmed the distribution of the second batch on Sunday for Daanbantayan District Hospital, Toledo General Hospital and Saint Anthony Hospital through MMC resident doctors connected in aforesaid medical institutions.
Apart from face shield production, CTU Argao Biodiversity, Environment, Natural Resources, Research Center (CTU-BENRC) also prepared breadfruit- based ‘binangkal’ and seaweed health drink for the health workers. Prof. Evangeline Rellin/ICPA Argao
