DepEd taps BTR for radio-based instruction

CTU Tuburan’s BT Radio (BTR) 98.1 extends services to the Department of Education (DepEd) schools in the municipality of Tuburan, providing airtime to its radio-based instruction for kinder to grade 12 learners.

The collaboration sealed on September 21st is part of DepEd’s mandate to explore, develop, and enhance learning and teaching modalities in ensuring quality education amidst the COVID-19 pandemic.

Station manger Fernando Mangubat said in an interview that he’s happy with BTR’s added role of serving DepEd constituents to sustain information dissemination for continuous learning.

Imbued by the university’s thrusts, Asst. Campus Director Carla Abaquita’s positive reception of DepEd’s request resonated the need to further educational goals.

Present undertaking has recognized BTR as a reliable medium through which the flexible learning system could be implemented.

Gracing the ceremony were Regional Director Salustiano Jimenez, Cebu Schools Division Superintendent Marilyn Andales, Mayor Danilo Diamante, and Campus Director Pedrito Pontillas, whose recent appointment as OIC campus director in CTU Argao has never slowed down his pace in materializing goals.
