Educational options have evolved and changed dramatically over the past 6 months, just as the COVID-19 pandemic continues to mutate the world. The European Union (EU) takes advantage of this by conducting a virtual fair in October, themed: “Study in Europe: The Future is Eurs, ” in which Cebu Technological University is primarily taking part.
First in the country, the “European Higher Education Fair (EHEF) 2020” essentially prompts students and faculty to rethink their directions moving forward, as the event has a set of webinars on research programs, sponsorships, and mobility opportunities.
One of the most interesting parts of the virtual fair is the real-time chat with European Higher Education Institution (EHEI) representatives. By then, interactions will have given more opportunities for Filipino participants to explore EHEIs offering distance learning for postgraduate degree programs.
EU member states’ embassies and some cultural institutions, in partnership with the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) and Philippine HEIs, are looking forward to providing the best platform for Filipino students and academics alike to broaden their educational perspectives.
The memo dated September 9th from CHED chair J. Prospero de Vera III encouraged presidents of HEIs to promote the dialogue with EHEI partners. Anyone interested may sign up via the link https://www.facebook.com/events/682166072645742 then click “Going.”/ IAI
