San Remigio eyes academic building completion next month

Cebu Province fulfills mandate in allocating funds to build schools, including  CTU San Remigio’s academic building whose phase-1 completion is due next month.

With a 7-million appropriation, the extension campus has stakeholders looking ahead to being properly accommodated, given its increasing student population primarily spurred by recently offered degree programs—Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education and Bachelor of Science in Industrial Technology.

The development ensures sustainability of educational goals in the area, as per Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) signed by CTU President Rosein Ancheta Jr., Mayor Mariano Martinez, and extension campus director Levy Lepon.

The build-build-build paradigm of the government has impacted not just satellite but extension campuses like the one in Cebu’s northern point to provide locals  access to free tertiary education.

As of late, RDY contractor awaits the timeframe for the second phase, which is hoped to be anytime soon. ICPA Daanbantayan/Nikkithea Beduya
