No pandemic could bring infrastructure development in CTU Danao to a halt, as it is set to celebrate completion of not just one but three buildings this March.
Commissioned in 2019, the administration, and two college buildings for engineering and technopreneurship and business management (TBM) sustain the ‘build build build’ paradigm of Dr. Rose Mary Almacen, who is now on her sixth year as campus director.
Such colleges have seen an increase of student population that prompted for the construction, which may soon be taken advantage of once COVID-19 restriction on face-to face instruction eases.
The 52M, 3-storey admin building features a more spacious library and a board room, while the 25M, 4-storey facility for engineering (phase 2) and TBM (phase 1) has 31 classrooms, a conference room and a dean’s office.
By the end of 2021, the second phase of the 4-storey structure will be completed.
Meanwhile, construction of the 10M, 4-storey buildings for education (phase 2) and graduate school (phase 1) building will begin in July, as well as the 15M, 4-storey dormitory (Phase 1) in 2022.
Assentia Construction Incorporation and Celjem Construction & Development Corporation have been awarded the projects since 2015. Ale Taneo/Sarah Jane Colina/ICPA Danao
