Recognition befell Cebu Technological University (CTU) at the awarding ceremony on May 22nd, in line with the 1st National Higher Education Day and the 27th Founding Anniversary of the Commission on Higher Education (CHED).
Cited for sustainable leadership, CHED acknowledged the university in attaining three stars validated by the Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) World University Rankings 2020.
CTU President Rosein Ancheta Jr. personally received the award from CHED Chairperson Prospero de Vera at Cebu Normal University, who sidelined CTU campuses in Cebu City, Danao City and Carmen on May 23rd to promote one of CHED’s events.
Dr. Ancheta attained the QS stars four years after he took office in 2015.
During the blended [face-to-face and virtual] ceremony, actual attendance for local higher education institution (HEI) heads was limited to 50. Other agencies in the region participated via video conferencing. /Ale Taneo/UICPA
