
Cebu Technological University brought organic food products to R’Cebu Exhibit dubbed “Yes I Do sa Tersero Distrito” at Robinsons Galleria on May 21 through 23.
Argao, Barili and Tuburan campuses introduced research-based creations: cabbage pandesal, cabbage cookies, breadfruit loaf, cocoyam polvoron, breadfruit turon, breadfruit macaroons, breadfruit brazo de mercedes, breadfruit binangkal and breadfruit buchi.
CTU Tuburan did not miss out on displaying its squash crackers and spicy coconut vinegar, while CTU Barili introduced its version of tamarind juice, tamarind soft candy and vitahori juice.
The team also exhibited its wellness blends, with seaweed being the primary ingredient launched a couple of months ago in CTU Tuburan. From its by-products came seaweed bread sticks and seaweed crackers that were also showcased.
The Biodiversity, Environment and Natural Resources Center in CTU Argao and Center for Studies in Biotechnology in CTU Barili had registered aforesaid products as utility models.
Dr. Petroey Pascual of CTU Barili presented the research-based food items to Provincial Governor Gwendolyn Garcia and 3rd District Congressman Pablo John Garcia.
