Free Mandarin lessons for CTU students

Learning Mandarin for free drew CTU Main students into the 3-month language program launched on February 22nd.

Andy Gui and Susan Gui of the Philippines Association for Friendship and Education (AFEP) offered the course for free from February 27th through May 15th. 

The program included the fundamentals of the Chinese language, Chinese culture, Chinese syllables, four figures of tones in Mandarin, and Chinese numbers. 

Basic greetings, expressions, pronunciations, strokes of Chinese characters, and self-introduction in Mandarin were also taught.

16 CTU attendees came from the College of Arts and Sciences, Education, and Technopreneurship and Business Management. 

Also joining in were representatives of AFEP member universities as Cebu Normal University (CNU), Benguet State University (BSU), University of Southeastern Philippines (USeP), and Palawan State University (PSU).
