    April 30, 2020     4th Meeting on Update of Stranded Students (OJTs in Thailand Amid COVID-19 GOOD NEWS. 1. 32 CTU Students (5 from Main, 5 from Moalboal, 7 from Carmen, 11 from Barili, 4 from Danao, in THAILAND are now to return by May 16 once ECQ is lifted. Currently, CTU’s partner hotel industries, Centara Grand at Central World and Siam & Urban hotels have been giving them FREE accommodation and meals for almost a month now. 2. 21 CTU Danao students who had their internship in Thailand and are now in stranded in Quezon City, MANILA are very much cared for by CTU Danao administration, with the leadership of Campus Director, Dr. Rose Mary Laude Almacen. Also with the support of Dean of Hospitality Management, Dr Jose Marie Anoos and Chairperson for Internationalization and ASEAN Integration, Prof. Carmencita Derrota Quino Accommodation and Meals are well-provided for. 3. CTU’s partner Consultation, Inc, with the management of Dr. Adalbert Alcaide, has been actively helping and supporting CHED in giving assistance to CTU students (and even extending his assistance to other Filipino stranded students) in THAILAND. 4.     May 8, 2020       CTU students in Israel Agrostudies Amid COVID-19 The four CTU BS Agriculture students are still in Israel for Agriculture studies and internship until September 2020. CEO of Agrostudies Agriculture Capacity Building, Yaron Tamir, says they have closed all campuses and have done eLearning (online learning) to the students. Students still train in the field. Further, Tamir says they ensure the safety of students, and that no one has fallen ill.                     June 30, 2020                     AT LONG LAST: “CTU 36 from THAILAND” are set to return to Cebu tomorrow at 6:15 PM. The 36 BS Hospitality Management and BS Food Preparation students from CTU Campuses: Barili (11), Carmen (11), Main (5), Moalboal (5), and Danao (4) had their On-the-job training in the hotels of THAILAND (Siam, Centara, and Urbana) when the global pandemic hit in March this 2020. They have been stranded in Thailand for 3 months now.
