Dr. Galindo presented “FRIENDS: Furthering International Relations capacities and Intercultural Engagement to Nurture Campus Diversity and to Support Internalisation at Home,” co-funded by the ERASMUS+ Programme of the European Union.
FRIENDS is designed to strengthen Asian universities’ internationalization capabilities and develop students’ global competence through integration of intercultural dimensions into the institutions’ formal and informal curricula.
“ We need to have FRIENDS like you, who care, share and serve, each one, serve one, reach one,” said Galindo who emphasized the importance of FRIENDS in times of the COVID-19 pandemic and beyond.
Moreover, the UTM featured three Erasmus+Capacity Building on Higher Education (CBHE) projects by Asia Technological University Network (ATU-Net) member institutions.
