A photograph highlighting kitchen essentials and basic food preparation by the students in CTU Carmen won first prize at University Mobility in Asia and the Pacific (UMAP) Photo Contest 2022.
Out of five entries submitted, BSHM student Dick Bongo’s photo with other hospitality students was chosen as the winning image that featured one of the programs of CTU.
In an interview with IAI, he explained that the photo showed how students are “incredibly resilient” in overcoming adversities to reach their goals.
Bongo received a virtual pass to the APAIE 2022 Conference on March 27 through 31.
The APAIE Conference and Exhibition will unite professionals across the Asia-Pacific region to network, improve skills and discover new developments in international education. This year’s event will feature networking, exhibits, and posters among the great line-up of sessions.
Moreover, the conference will be organized by UMAP, an association of higher education institutions (HEIs) and relevant government partners in the Asia Pacific that strives to increase collaborative partnerships and mobility of students and staff./ IAI
