CTU Vice Presidents finalize their performance targets for 2022-2024

Dr. Adrian Ybanez, Vice President for Research and Development presented the university strategic plan

Aligned with the newly-revised vision, mission, and goals of the Cebu Technological University, the Vice Presidents finalized their performance targets on March 14, 2022 at the Centennial Building, CTU Main Campus.

The Vice Presidents presented their strategic plans, which considered GAA-enrolled targets, Quacquarelli Symonds, Times Higher Education, AACCUP, WURI, Philippine Quality Awards Framework, and Performance-based Bonus of DBM, and the Gender and Development requirement as required by the PCW.

Dr. Adrian P. Ybañez, Vice President for Research and Development, wanted to achieve the target in increasing the research output by encouraging all faculty to have at least one publication indexed in Scopus- or Web of Science-indexed journal and be involved in research projects and presentations.

Dr. Hedeliza A. Pineda, Vice President for Academic Affairs, focused on students’ international mobility, development of programs in natural sciences especially Bachelor of Science in Biology and Doctor of Medicine, transnational higher education, and national and international trainings, culture and the arts.

Moreover, Dr. Edgar Tibay, Vice President for Extension, Production and Resource Generation, also highlighted their targets. He emphasized the different sources of funds for resource generation, production and income-generating projects which are based on research, extension, instruction and IP-based outputs

Dr. Jerlito A. Letrondo, Vice President for Administration, emphasized the completion of the manuals he required to the administrative offices to improve the processes in the university.

The strategic planning was initially performed on March 7 – 8, 2022 at the CTU Danao Campus with select administrators of the university.

The final outputs would be presented to the University President, Dr. Rosein A. Ancheta Jr., who has been providing directions to where the university is going. The updated University Strategic Plan will be cascaded at a later date to the different Campus Directors and officials.-Rowanne Marie Mangompit/UICPA
