The new Agriculture building of the College of Agriculture was inaugurated and turned over on March 9, 2022 at Cebu Technological University –Tuburan Campus, Tuburan, Cebu.
Congressman PJ Garcia emphasized the importance of education and narrated his father’s, the late Hon. Pabling Garcia, struggles to learn.
With word of enthusiam for the CTU-Tuburan brought by Cong. Garcia, Dr. Ma. Carla Y. Abaquita, Campus Director of CTU Tuburan Campus, expressed her words of gratitude as she said,“This is a dream come true for Cebu Technological University specifically in CTU-Tuburan Campus, wherein there is an additional infrastracture that could be a home and venue in nurturing and fullfilling our needs of our students, most specially our agriculture students….. in education, environment is so important. So, this time of new environment where students for sure will be more inspired to study. We also look for part to produce another topnotcher, hopefully”.
The 4-storey building project worth Php 24,255,000.00 was completed in October 2021 by contractor Rudhil Construction and Enterprises Inc. It is a 4- storey 8- classroom building dedicated for students studying agriculture-related courses.
This is a venue for 277 Agriculture students for them to pursue their dream in a new learning environment for academic excellence and faculty members who impart their knowledge, inspire and motivate the students.
The ceremony were also attended by the Cebu Third District Board Members Hon. Victoria “Tata” Corominas-Toribio and Hon. John Ismael “Jiembo” Borgonia together with the CTU- University President, Dr. Rosein A. Ancheta and Dr. Ma. Leni G. Torralba, the Assistant Campus Director. Sangguniang Bayan Members of the Municipality of Tuburan Hon. Louise Potencioso, Hon. Ray Matthew Laurel, Hon. Rebelito Tapdasan and Hon.
