A memorandum of agreement (MOA) between the Cebu Technological University (CTU) Danao Campus and the BigBlue Logistics Corp. was signed on April 1, 2022, to give a full implementation of the Joint Curriculum Delivery programs for the Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) and Bachelor of Science in Mechatronics courses.
Following the Advisory No. 019 Series 2022 “Smart Engineering Consortium Towards Building a Sustainable Future,” Big Blue Logistics Corp. offers industry immersion of faculty members handling Engineering and Technology subjects, on-the-job training (OJT) for Engineering and Technology students concerning the number of hours specified under the approved curricular offering, plant visit accommodation, in-campus recruitment, and other projects that shall benefit both parties are the projected outcome of the said partnership.
Under the agreement, the said faculty members shall undergo once-a-week training in the company for at least ten (10) weeks.
On-the-job training students will also be given a full grasp on what it takes to be with an industry. Guided tours inside the plant for CTU Danao Engineering and Technology students are also welcome subject to the company’s rules and regulations for factory visits.
Present at the event are signatories from BigBlue Logistics Corp. President Stephen G. Castillo and Dr. Rose Mary L. Almacen CTU Danao Campus Director, together with the Dean of the College of Engineering, Engr. Jayson C. Bayogo, and the Mechanical Engineering Chair, Engr. Marlon Mata.
