NSSU administrators with CTU officials

Northwest Samar State University (NSSU) representatives visited the Cebu Technological University on April 28, 2022 to benchmark areas to help their university actualize its mission and vision.

NSSU desired to refine the following areas: Policy Framework and Strategies on the Internalization of Philippine Higher Education (CMO 55. s. 2016); instructional materials development and learning management system; international student internships, and admission of international students. Hence, NSSU chose CTU to benchmark such areas.

Dr. Catherine Ross Degula, Campus Admission Officer, explained how the CTU operation of admission amidst the pandemic without the students visiting the campus.

Along with Prof. Allan Mariñas, University Public Information Officer, Mr. Irvin Narciso, OIC-Dean of the student affairs office (SAO), Engr. Teresita Capin, director for Gender and Development at the Main Campus, Prof. Johannes Camasura, university director, Automation, Innovation and Computing, imparted how the CTU secured a spot at QS Asian University Ranking, undisrupted internship despite the pandemic, some university policies and answered various questions from the visitors.

Giving enough information about the university, they toured the guests around the Main Campus.

Also, they visited the office of President Dr. Rosein A. Ancheta Jr. and met Dr. Joseph Pepito, CTU Main campus director, and Danao Campus.

CTU attained a good reputation being a premier university among other universities and colleges in the Philippines. Thus, CTU has become a destination for benchmarking. –Almie Mata/CCM
