Pagsagop sa Teknolohiya sa Grupong Alayon (PaTeGAYON) was awarded as one of the outstanding community extension project in 2021. The award was given during the 2021 Program on Awards and Incentives for Service Excellence (PRAISE)-Tribute Award Program (TAP) on December 17, 2021 in Cebu.
PaTeGAYON is a science-based community extension-production project of the university started in 2018 up to the present.
The primary purpose of this project is to transfer the knowledge, science, and technology developed by the university innovators, makers, designers, creators which can be useful to the community and potential technology adopters.
Moreover, the University Production Director Dr. Renissa S. Quinones, project leader of this project was awarded as Outstanding Community Extension Award (Extensionista Award) during the 2021 Program on Awards and Incentives for Service Excellence (PRAISE)-Tribute Award Program (TAP). Among her notable contributions are the production of alcohol-based hand sanitizers, and various community extension and outreach projects within the inclusive year.
Consequently, these initiatives aim to create decent jobs, generate income, and contribute to the Outstanding Community Extension Award (Extensionista Award) community’s and university’s overall social and economic growth as well as the attainment of SGDs.-Office of University Production
