
Dr. Rowanne Marie M. Mangompit and Prof. Aida Verga V. Un of Cebu Technological University presented their paper on student mobility during the 18th annual CamTESOL conference, with the theme, ‘Changing Approaches and Expanding Dimensions in Global ELT’, last February 18-20, 2022 via Zoom.
The conference was graced by various presenters including 700 international participants from nearly 50 countries. Meanwhile, around 600 presentation sessions across 21 streams were delivered virtually.
According to Prof. Un, it was her first time joining the CamTESOL’S virtual international conference and she was overwhelmed being one of the presenters with Dr. Mangompit as her mentor during the said event.
Prof. Un added, “These researches provide an eye or enlightenment or a sort of awareness of what has been going on in the field of language teaching.”
In addition, CamTESOL was established in 2005 and became a premier professional development conference in the Asia-Pacific region for professionals in the field of English Language Teaching and related issues with an average audience of 1,700 attending annually.
The 19th Annual CamTESOL Conference in 2023 hopes to resume the physical event and further expand the event’s scale and scope.-Gerard Octavio/BSDevcom Intern
