Japan’s SIT is CTU’s newest partner

Shibaura Institute of Technology (SIT) in Japan and Cebu Technological University (CTU) formalized an agreement this month to further internationalization engagements.

CTU President Rosein Ancheta Jr. and SIT President Jun Yamada signed the memorandum of understanding (MOU), strengthening the involvement of students and faculty in establishing activities such as academic visits, research collaboration, participation in joint conferences and workshops and faculty, staff and student exchange.

SIT’s Prof. Yuya Miyasaka’s support, as international affairs director, makes CTU the second partner university in the Philippines.

As an initial activity, SIT accepts applications starting this July for its special online programs.

As for degree-seeking students for Spring Semester in 2023, applications will start from October 1 through 30, 2022.

SIT is a private science and engineering-based university in Japan with campuses in Tokyo and Saitama.

The recent partnership continues to make CTU in a favorable position to provide stakeholders with more opportunities in the international arena. IAI
