The Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) Visayas Regional Office conducted a Roadshow through a three-hour talk concerning the Philippine Currencies and other Advocacies to the faculty and student leaders of Cebu Technological University Bantayan Extension Campus last June 16, 2022.
The lecture discussed the security features of the enhanced New Generation Currency (e-NGC) Philippine banknotes, NGC coin series, and Digital Payments and Cyber Hygiene Practices for Online Financial Transactions.
It aims to promote greater awareness in safeguarding the integrity of Philippine currency, easy detection of counterfeit banknotes, and familiarize the design elements of the banknotes and coins.
The participants from CTU-Bantayan were pleased with the opportunity for additional learning from the BSP representatives, who discussed the topics thoroughly and accommodated the questions from the audience.
The BSP Roadshow’s main objective is to provide some safety tips and practices to keep financial accounts secure from online frauds and transactions.
