Recognition for Engagement is one of the five prestigious academic accolades by the global higher education think tank. It is awarded to some universities for their engagement and data provision, and commitment. For it to go to CTU, among the Philippine HEIs, shows an unprecedented recognition of the university’s role today.

And for many technologists, the award meant so much more: a reminder that CTU continues to spread its wings and soar higher in the international arena, even under circumstances it sustains quality education for all, and a source of inspiration to further push forward efforts for the stakeholders and community it serves, among others.

The awards recognized 26 higher education institutions around the world in four categories: QS engagement, graduate employability, most improved university, and internationalization.

Apart from CTU, Macquarie University (Australia), Tashkent State University of Economics (Uzbekistan), Istanbul Technical University (Turkey), Applied Science Private University (Jordan), Budapest University of Technology and Economics (Hungary), The University of Auckland (New Zealand), O.M. Beketov National University of Urban Economy (Ukraine), Mahasarakham University (Thailand), American University of Beirut (AUB) (Lebanon) and Universitas Indonesia (Indonesia) received recognition for engagement.

Winners of the graduate employability were University of Oradea (Romania), Universidad Latinoamericana de Ciencia y Tecnología Costa Rica (ULACIT), University of Central Oklahoma (United States), Instituto Tecnológico de Santo Domingo, INTEC (Dominican Republic), Universidad Tecnica Particular De Loja (UPTL) (Ecuador), University of Primorska (Slovinia), Duy Tan University (Vietnam), and University of Dubai (United Arab Emirates).

The University of Auckland (New Zealand), Qatar University (Qatar), Flinders University (Australia), and Monash University (Australia) were recognized for their internationalization efforts, while UCSI University (Malaysia) was acknowledged for its improvement.
