CTU-DComm pilots COMMbati 2022 Masterclass

The Department of Communication (DComm), led by the Development Communication faculty, has conducted a two-day reinforcement lecture/workshop for all third-year Development Communication students with the theme “COMMbati 2022: Pagpahanas sa Abilidad ug Pagpangandam sa Tahas (Reinforcing Interns through DevCom RISE)” held last July 14-15, 2022 via Google Meet.

The Development Communication faculty provided a reinforcement workshop to help pinpoint the strengths and weaknesses of the students that may not have been developed in class.

The first day of the event was the lecture consisting of the four major topics. Professor Mydah Kabingue discussed communication for Development Work; Radio Broadcasting was facilitated by Miss Angela Saban and Miss Almie Mata; Professor Junas Flores tackled News Writing Techniques and Guidelines, and Information Education and Communication for Development Campaigns was further discussed by Professor Eva Jonah Marie Enojas, along with Professor Francisco Lucero.

Presentation of outputs in each topic happened on the second day of the event, where each student showcased the skill a DevCom student must have and tirelessly participated throughout the event.

One of the resource persons was Miss Angela Saban, DevCom Alumna Batch 2019, who is currently working at Brigada.

Commbati workshop is one of the components of DevCom RISE.
