CTU-Main CAS Faculty Expanded its Extension Services by putting SDG No. 2 into Action

In accordance with the vision of the United Nations (UN) Sustainable Development Goals (SGD’s), which is to address and bridge the gap of all the global problems by 2030, the College of Arts and Sciences (CAS) Extension Office of Cebu Technological University-Main Campus (CTU-MC) joins the movement, as they have conducted their community outreach project entitled “Feeding Activity with Health and Nutrition Talk Community Service” at the Blessed Sacrament Parish Children, Cebu City, on September 16, 2022.

The program is in line with SDG number two, “Zero Hunger”, which aims to educate the community on health and nutrition, give them proper nutrition to reduce and prevent malnutrition or undernutrition, and teach them different skills on how to combat food insecurity and hunger.

The said event would not be possible and achieve its purpose without the well-respected organizers spearheaded by Prof. Anne S. Lorca, CAS Extension Chair, together with Prof. Edwin Urgel, and Sr. Anne Healy of Blessed Sacrament Church.

This proves that CTU continues to uphold and strengthen community engagements through extension services that may be a guiding light and image of hope to people that will allow them to grow and help them to become fully-equipped individuals with appropriate knowledge, skills, and attitudes.
