CTU-UESO crafts the Guidelines for Faculty Volunteer Work with Finalization of the Revised CTU Extension Manual and 3rd Quarter MFO 4 Performance Review

The Cebu Technological University Extension Services Office has successfully conducted a three-day physical event gearing up the banner “Crafting of CTU Guidelines for Faculty Volunteer Work (with Finalization of the Revised CTU Extension Manual and 3rd Quarter MFO 4 Performance Review)” on September 20-22, 2022, at Summit Galleria-Cebu City.  

The first day of the event talked about the UP-System’s Extension and Volunteerism Model and The UP Cebu’s Experience Integrating Volunteerism in Teaching and Conducting Research on the Volunteerism discussed by Dr. Aurelio P. Vilbar, UP Director of Hugnayan ng Pahinungod and a resource speaker. 

During the event, various workshops about how to integrate Volunteerism, extension in teaching, how to research Volunteerism, existing volunteer practices, and programs per delivery unit.  

On the second day, the presentation of outputs to all Extension Chairpersons about Existing Volunteer Practices and programs per delivery unit happened. It was facilitated by Dr. Jorelyn P. Conception, University Director for Viable Demonstration Projects. 

An arduous struggle yet essential activity where the first draft of the CTU guidelines for faculty volunteer work was crafted. 

The first input of the third day talked about the Finalization of the CTU Revised Extension Manual. In this topic, extension chairpersons exchanged different ideas and concerns. They raised other matters relating to extension research-based projects facilitated by Dr. Lynnette Matea S. Camello, University Director for Extension Services. 

The second input was the 3rd Quarter MFO 4 Performance Review and the Extension Accomplishment Presentation vis-à-vis MFO Target and Univ Stat Priorities as of September 2022, with its accomplishments and remarks presented by all extension chairpersons with their corresponding campuses. 

The event was spearheaded by Dr. Lynnette Matea S. Camello, University Director for Extension Services, with Ms. Charmaine Lee Cabrera and Ms. Jennylen B. Pongase, CTU Extension Office Staff. It was participated by all extension chairpersons, all campus directors, and all college deans of CTU-Main Campus.

Awarding of certificate of appearance and participation, group photo, and giving of closing remarks took place in the latter part of the event. 

All extension chairpersons have contributed and proved that the sense of community at CTU ceaselessly prevails. Hashtag tatak CTU extensionistas, Hashtag sa Katuyuang Labaw sa Kaugalingon.
