Community Radio’s Radyo Kalampusan Celebrates it’s 3rd Year Anniversary

November 25, 2022 — Nutriskwela Radyo Kalampusan joyfully held its 3rd Year Anniversary to commemorate the day it was founded with the theme “Building Strong Community Through Radio Broadcasting,” at Union Covered Court, Union, San Francisco, Cebu. The aforementioned celebration commenced with a caravan within the entire town of San Francisco. It was attended by members of the Camotes Island Emergency Response Team (CIERT), the radio station management, the Community Radio Council, and avid listeners.


The second part of the event highlighted the Oathtaking Ceremony of the Radio Community Council, with CTU San Fran’s Dr. Collin Garrido and Dr. Vincent Saberon Borres as members of the council, which was then followed by showcasing the glimpses of 12 finalists for the NRK Singing Battle 2022, which later on began at the latter part of the event participated by various amateur singers from different municipalities in the Camotes Group of Islands. The ceremonial oath of the new set of officers of the Community Radio Council (CRC) was administered by Ms. Norrie Jane Delos Santos, NCC Representative Region-7. An inspirational message was also delivered by Ms. Andrienne Arquillano emphasizing the true essence of volunteerism and creating a positive change in the lives of many. It was then followed by the giving of plaques and certificates to CRC and Radio Station personnel whose works created a huge impact to the success of the program’s goals and objectives.


For three years and still counting, Nutriskwela Radyo Kalampusan has been in constant pursuit of its commitment to the people of Camotes, especially in terms of sharing valuable information, news, and updates even in the midst of the global pandemic. It has extended its unwavering efforts by serving as a media outlet for continuous education from the onset of the pandemic until now via live broadcast, not to mention its unique segments that seek to entertain its avid listeners. And by that, the anniversary celebration serves as an anecdote to a milestone in the radio station’s three long years of continuous service to the public.

Radyo Kalampusan’s tagline reverberates its true essence, thus, “Kung muari ka, madani ka, Lami…!”
