Violence against women is one of the many problems that are continuously getting serious. According to Ban ki-moon, “There is one universal truth applicable to all countries, cultures, and communities: violence against women is never acceptable, never excusable, and never tolerable.”
Following this, the Cebu Technological University Tuburan and Tabuelan Campus joined the 18-day campaign to end violence against women with a movement called United for a Vaw-Free Philippines.
CTU-Tuburan Campus administration, faculty, staff, guests, and students attended the program. Dr. Ma. Carla Y. Abaquita, Campus Director, expressed her gratitude and commiserations on this historical event, emphasizing the equality of men and women, highlighting that it should be our story, not just his or hers.
Professor Rogela A. Flores, the campus chairperson for Gender and Development, explained that the campaign hopes for a #vawfreeph.
