The Cebu Technological University-Department of Communication (CTU DComm) has successfully conducted the first seminar-workshop event for DevCom week on February 15, 2023, at CN bldg., CTU Main Campus. With the theme Development Communication: Gateway for Change, the News and Press Release Writing Workshop was the first event held this week.
Spearheading the program was the DComm chairperson, Prof. Junas D. Flores, who gave his best to make the week-long event possible. Their invited Resource Speaker headed the seminar, Mr. Ryan Mark Borinaga, an Editor of The Freeman-Banat News Cebu, aimed to harness the journalistic knowledge and skills of the DevCom students to equip them for their future endeavors.
After the lecture, Mr. Borinaga also assessed and evaluated the students’ ability to write a news article after learning about news and journalism principles. The first event concluded with deafening applause as fulfilling smiles overwhelmed the hall.
