Tribu Cebu Tech (Cebu Technological University), represented by CTU-Moalboal and CTU-San Francisco, took third place in the ritual showdown and fourth place in musicality last January 7, 2023.
Street dancing, holy masses, processions, parades, street parties, and music festivals are among the activities that contribute to Cebu’s vibrant and vivacious culture.
This year, Cebuanos witnessed the comeback of in-person festivities, gathering a massive crowd from all over the world to celebrate the union of local culture and religion.
Through their performance, the performers of the abovementioned tribe conveyed to the audience the rich legacy and distinct culture of the Cebuanos, where spirits are high, and religion is honored. They wowed the audience with their show and performance, earning them the title of “crowd favorite.”
Months of preparation, sacrifices, and determination to make the university proud paid off.
Moreover, the tribe’s success would not have been possible without the masterful skills and creative mind of Mr. Carlito Custodio and his dance masters, as well as the support of Dr. Zandro Perez, CTU-Moalboal Campus Director, and Moalboal Mayor Inocentes Cabaron, along with the assistance provided by the entire Cebu Technological University and the Municipality of Moalboal.
Indeed, the constant and unifying support of all technologists and Moalboalanons makes Tribu Cebu Tech emerge victorious in the recently concluded One Cebu Island Sinulog sa Kabataan 2023.
