CTU Excels in 2nd Surveillance Audit by TUV Rheinland

Cebu Technological University’s commitment to quality and excellence was put to the test during the 2nd Surveillance Audit conducted by TUV Rheinland from November 29-30, 2023. The audit covered the Main, Danao, San Francisco, and Moalboal campuses, marking a comprehensive evaluation of the university’s management systems.

The primary objectives of the audit were to verify the conformity of the management system with established criteria and to assess its effectiveness in ensuring compliance with legal, regulatory, and contractual requirements. Additionally, the audit aimed to evaluate the management system’s overall effectiveness in achieving the organization’s stated objectives.

The commencement program of the audit featured Dr. Rosein Ancheta Jr., the OIC-President, underscoring the critical importance of the audit in realizing the University’s mission, vision, and goals. Dr. Ancheta encouraged all stakeholders to practice consistency, emphasizing the need to uphold the University’s achievements and strive for further development in the days to come.

The TUV Rheinland Auditors, led by Mr. Fronie Aligway, played a crucial role in the audit process. The audit team included members such as Ms. Madilyn Plaza, Ms. Mary Grace Balobalo, Ms. Jogina Mendiola, and Mr. Rolando Remitar.

Following the two-day audit of the four campuses, the results indicated no major conformity issues. However, the university received minor instructions for improvements. This suggests the overall robustness of the management system in place, with the minor instructions serving as constructive feedback for further enhancement. The successful completion of the audit reflects the university’s commitment to quality management and continuous improvement in meeting its objectives.
