The Cebu Technological University marked a historic moment on December 16, 2023, with the formal installation of its esteemed third President, Dr. Joseph Cutab Pepito. The inauguration ceremony, held at the CHED Central Office, was a testament to the university’s commitment to excellence and visionary leadership.
The process leading to Dr. Pepito’s presidency was a meticulous one, guided by the sagacity and legal expertise of distinguished professionals from the Office of the Solicitor General. Assistant Solicitor General (ASG) Justice James Cundangan and Senior State Solicitor Atty. Vincent Trinidad played pivotal roles in overseeing the election, ensuring a fair and transparent process.
The Board of Regents actively participated in the election, casting their votes both onsite and online in accordance with duly approved rules.
Dr. Pepito’s journey to the presidency is marked by a rich history of service to the institution. Previously, he served as the Campus Director at the Naga Extension Campus for an impactful nearly three-year tenure and later contributed to the Main Campus for almost four years. This wealth of experience positions him well to lead CTU into a new era of academic distinction and innovation.
